I can’t believe I missed the best part of UGLY BETTY yesterday. I missed the last 15 or so minutes.  The last thing I saw was Marc telling his mother he’s gay and her telling him she wants nothing to do with him.  Did they patch things up?  Did Betty’s family help him or did he simply run away from them? Will he blame Betty for coming clean when he didn’t want to in the first place?

So many questions and no answers.  If any of you watched the whole show last night PLEASSSSE let me know what happened.

  1. I recorded the episode on DVR but haven’t seen it yet. We’ll catch up this weekend and I’ll let you know. Also, you can watch online at ABC.com.

  2. Well you’ll have to tell me all about it.

  3. Mark’s mom left with her poor kitty never to be seen again (at least not that night). Mark waited for Betty on her front stoop and confided in her what had happened. At first she thought her family had outed Mark (was it her dad?) but Mark came clean. He outed himself and his mom rejected him.

Betty, thinking of how Daniel was betrayed by his brother (now sister), told Mark that sometimes friends can be more of a family to us then our blood ties. It was a really sweet scene. Mark stayed strong, telling Betty it’s his mother’s loss (he stood up, swung his scarf around - very Justin-like) then joked that Betty shouldn’t think that he and she are friends. Mark told Betty that she would always be his chimichanga. I love both of the actors … they made the scene so touching!

Betty sat on the stoop after Mark left reading Daniel’s letter from the editor that never made it to print. In it, Daniel confides that he missed his brother and is happy to have him home. Man or woman, Daniel accepts his “sister”. At the same time the camera is panning from Betty’s family to Alex, at her mother’s bedside feeding her soup. Then the camera pans to Daniel … swigging champagne straight from the bottle in bed with two scantily clad women (threesome style). Poor Daniel! He’s lost and spiraling out of control.

Meanwhile, Wilhemena decides the only way to get Mode is to be Wilhemena Meade. She scribbles it on her business card then arrives in the elder Meade’s office in a fur coat (and only a fur coat) offering her form of comfort.

Why do we have to wait weeks for another new episode?

  4. I’m glad Marc came clean and confessed to Betty. He might treat her differently but knows he can depend on her when the chips are down.
What do I think Betty should do with the letter? Send it to Alex and make her eat crow. While Daniel should simply grow up and get a backbone.
I don’t know why we have to wait so long before seeing another new show. They are probably keeping the best shows for sweep week. I can’t wait for a new MEN IN TREES. It’s been almost a month without any shows.
