It’s great to be back. I went away for a week of vacation and to attend the New England Conference. I have been to this conference the last few years and always have a great time. This year they had a contest for published authors called the Bean Pot. One of my friends, Patricia Grasso won the historical Bean Pot for ENTICING THE PRINCE. Way to go Patricia!

I’ll have to blog later on this week about the wonderful workshops I attended while at the conference.

Well in a bit I’ll be off for a little vacation in New England. I’ll be shopping, visiting and having fun. Next Friday I plan on attending the New England Conference. This isn’t my first trip, but I always learn tons and have a lot of fun. Right now I need inspiration to get back in to my writing and fun of course.

So for the next few days I’ll be blogging from the road.

Control, everyone wants it, but do any of us ever truly have it? I used to think we did but in truth I don’t think so. Tonight’s episode of BEING ERICA was about control. Erica goes back to try and stops herself from kissing Ethan but ends up kissing him anyway. So then she wants to go further into the past and becoming his girlfriend instead of his best friend. Well let’s just put it this way, it backfires. So back in the present Erica saves her first books presentation at a writer’s festival and comes clean with Ethan.

Have no fear fellow Erica and Ethan fans. It ends well. Ethan comes to his sense and kisses Erica. He doesn’t say he loves her but he does admit that she’s the reason he’s staying in Toronto and not following his soon to be ex-wife (hopefully) back to Montreal.

So I’d love to hear your take on control do any of us have any true and consistent control in our lives?

Happy Green Day! Happy St-Patrick’s Day! I’m half Irish from my Mom’s side of the family. I remember growing up and having green potatoes on March 17. Well we didn’t have it every year. I think my Mom got away with doing that and turning my father’s beer green for a few years before we all protested.

Am I planning on turning any of my food green this year? Not really. Do any of you have any plans?

I have a new addiction. No it’s not chocolate or shoes. I believe I’m addicted to CASTLE, the new ABC series. They premiered the show last week and I couldn’t wait to see more. I’ve been going to their website to look at all the clips they have in hopes of feeding my addiction or then again I could be going just to stare at fellow Canadian Nathan Fillion. Man the guy is gorgeous.

No the cast with him is also great. The characters seem to be well developed and interesting to say the least. I do wonder if I won’t get fed up of Castle’s daughter being the parent. That could very well get tired very fast.

Well I have a nice little tidbit about GHOST WHISPERER. I’m not sure if it’ll be part of this season or next. However it seems that Melinda is pregnant! How do I know this? Well I watched 5 seconds TMZ and they had a picture of her with a fake belly. If this turns out to be true it could be very interesting.

She finally came clean with Jim/Sam on the last show and told him she saw her dead husband take over Sam’s body. What was his reaction? The one she’d expected and one Jim fans knew he wouldn’t do. He thinks she’s nuts. It’ll be interesting to see how things go from here.

Well it looks like BN is going to start selling Ebooks. They have purchased Fictionwise which has been in my opinion the pioneer of ebooks. Without them I don’t think the ebook industry would have grown to what it is today. Don’t get me wrong the industry would have grown but probably a lot slower.

The current owners got 15.7M from BN and will continue to manage the sites they had owned.

Congratulations to Fictionwise on this fabulous sale! Here’s hoping that small publishers don’t get lost in the mist.
