Did you watch BEING ERICA yesterday? Can you believe Erica broke up with Ethan? I certainly can’t. I had been rooting for them to stay together. I also found her reason for not staying in the relationship a little lame. It’s his fault. I just hope this won’t completely ruin their friendship.

Kai went back to his time. Thank goodness! As much as I liked him on the show I preferred it this way. He was cute and talented but not the right guy for Erica. Then again what do I know, I thought Ethan was the right guy for her.

As for what the future holds for Erica, who knows. I just hope she still meets with Dr Tom. I am looking forward to finding out what is behind the door she chose. I also can’t wait to see how her new business with Julianne will go. It’ll be great to see how they start and build their own publishing house.

I can say that I am disappointed in the fact that CBC didn’t get a full season of shows for this year. I truly hope they bring this wonderful show back next year and for a longer run.

The new TV season kicks off today. Woo hoo! Finally something new to watch. I have to admit I haven’t done a lot of TV watching during the summer. I did more reading, but I am looking forward to a few of my returning favorites like BIGGEST LOSER, BEING ERICA, CASTLE, MEDIUM and GHOST WHISPERS to name a few.

I can’t wait to see what Castle discovered and Becket’s mother’s death. Was it murder or suicide? I noticed in the sneak previews that a dead body is stolen from the morgue van while the coroner and Castle are in it. This should be interesting.

As for the other shows, I hear that Melinda’s son will be born in the first few minutes of the first show and then we are thrown 5 years in the future, Allison on MEDIUM wakes up in the hospital and must deal with the fact that she doesn’t have her talent and may never ahve it again.  Last saw the beginning of BIGGEST LOSER, Danny is back along with more contestants with inspiring stories.  As for BEING ERICA, I hear she will the be one helping out the Dr, that should be interesting. I am just looking forward to relaxing and being entertained for a little while.

What shows are you looking forward to watching?

The past few weeks I have been watching reruns of BEING ERICA and WILD ROSES. I still can’t believe that WILD ROSES isn’t returning next year. I loved that show. As for BEING ERICA I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen next. Her doctor has been replaced and she’s now in a relationship with Ethan. Well at least I think she is since she slept with him.

What do I want to see in next years half season? Yeah CBC decided to only renew it for a half season - crap. I’m hoping that Erica’s sister and brother-in-law will make their marriage work. It doesn’t look like he loves his wife but deep down I think he does. He just doesn’t want to. I finally want a show to show us that a marriage is like a job you have to work at it and it does work out.

What about Erica and Ethan? I hope they make things work out. They make a great couple. I also want Erica to strive at work and challenge herself. I hate to see her stuck as an assistant her whole life. She’s better than that.

Now what will happen with Dr Tom? There are quite a few theories floating around about him. I do hope he returns because he truly got Erica and knew how to get to her.

What do you think the new season of BEING ERICA has in store for us TV watchers?

Know what I like about watching BEING ERICA? There is always a lesson those watching the show can learn. Now they don’t preach it or shove it down your throat. They simply state it and you can either leave it or embrace it. Personally I have chosen to embrace most of them.

Last night’s lesson was about consequences. Erica went back into the past and although she promised not to save her brother. She does. That puts a strain on her relationship with Dr Tom. She also learns that she can’t play God because when she returns to the present time where she discovers she’s the manager of the Fiction department at the publisher where she works, Leo still dies just a few years later.

Erica decides to go back into the past and undo what she’d done, but with a twist. Her brother doesn’t survive his 21^st birthday but he also leaves a note for his family. This helps them move on. The big shocker is that even though she went back into the past and rectified and then sleeps with Ethan (yep they do IT) she looses a relationship that she’d come to value, that with Dr Tom. At the end of the show Erica finds out that she’s been assigned a new therapist.

What will this mean for next year? I’m not sure, but I’m glad to hear that CBC has renewed the show even if it’s only for a few shows.

Control, everyone wants it, but do any of us ever truly have it? I used to think we did but in truth I don’t think so. Tonight’s episode of BEING ERICA was about control. Erica goes back to try and stops herself from kissing Ethan but ends up kissing him anyway. So then she wants to go further into the past and becoming his girlfriend instead of his best friend. Well let’s just put it this way, it backfires. So back in the present Erica saves her first books presentation at a writer’s festival and comes clean with Ethan.

Have no fear fellow Erica and Ethan fans. It ends well. Ethan comes to his sense and kisses Erica. He doesn’t say he loves her but he does admit that she’s the reason he’s staying in Toronto and not following his soon to be ex-wife (hopefully) back to Montreal.

Have you ever kept a secret from your sibling or best friend that would have ultimately altered their life? That’s what happened to Erica this week. Her sister asks her in a moment of doubt if she’s doing the right thing by marrying her fiancé. At first Erica does what every person would do in a moment like that, lie and say what she wants to hear.

However Erica goes back in the past and realizes why her sister’s fiancé has a hard time with her. It seems he’s been in love with Erica the whole time. So she decides to keep them apart. When she returns to the present her sister is still getting married. So Erica decides to come clean and tell the truth to her sister. She shouldn’t settle for a fiancé that doesn’t lover her. What does Erica get in return? Her sister refuses to talk to her, ever again.

Does Erica regret it? Yes she does since she’s always been close to her sister, but she also learns that telling the truth in order to help protect her sister is a good thing.

What’s to happen next week? Erica relives a happy moment in her past. At least when she remembers it, it’s a happy moment. Now that she relives it she might think differently. We’ll have to wait and see.

I have to say I’m really hooked on Canadian TV this year. I watched BEING ERICA and WILD ROSES this week.

I loved the way Erica learned to stand up for herself even when it cost her a job, well sort of. How’s that? Well after her new boss canned her Erica had to bail her out. She and Ethan don’t go any further than a kiss when he gets served with divorce paper.  Personally I think this is for the best, if they were to jump into the sack right now they wouldn’t last. I want them to last.

As for Wild Roses, boy did Maggie ever give it to David by publicly announcing he would donate over 250 grand to her charity instead of 50. However he got the last laugh when he had her land search for oil behind her back. Things are sure to explode when she discovers what he’s done. Also there is a new cowboy in town. I think he’ll be giving Peter a run for his money to get Kate’s attention. I hope she goes for the new guy who just happened to see the testing done on Rivercross land. Plus if this show is any indication, Peter is getting into drugs. I’m looking forward to next week when Dillon becomes jealous of a new guy trying to get Lucy’s attention or is he trying to get into her pants. We’ll have to wait and see.

Tonight is The Week the Women Went. It should be interesting to see how the men survived their first night on their own.

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are but here in Ottawa it is very cooooold right now. I did wake up this morning to the sight of beautiful snow on the trees outside. That started my day on the right foot.

I have to say I didn’t know what to think of BEING ERICA’s first show, but I have to say I am slowly warming up to it. Yesterday’s episode was really good. They had a different twist to class reunion. At hers Erica goes back into the past and changed her first sexual experience. She thought she based her insecurities and judgmental attitude in relationships because her first time had been recorded without her approval. I have to say I liked the way she turned the tables on the looser. You go Erica! However she realizes her relationship problems are because she never let’s go! Also her relationship with her best friend Ethan changes. They become closer or at least that’s what it appears at the end of the show.

I am looking forward to another great show next week where Erica learns to stand up for herself.
