Another warrior losses her battle with Breast Cancer

It is with great regret that I announce one more warrior has lost her battle to breast cancer. This lost is more personal to me because it’s my good friend, Antonietta Wallace. She wrote under the pen name AB Wallace and LBF Books has the honor of publishing her book VINTAGE BLOOD AND THE SACRED SCEPTERS. Her book was the second release by LBF Books.I first met Toni through emails when I joined LBF Books over 5 years ago, soon after she was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. We corresponded regularly over the years and became friends. She won her battle and was cancer free for many years but just last fall it came back. This time around our little warrior lost her fight. She is also one of the reasons why Lachesis Publishing obtained sponsorship for DEADLY SECRETS from the American Breast Cancer Foundation and why I am donating all my royalties to the fight against breast cancer. I had the privilege to meet her last summer along with a few of our authors when the RWA Nationals was held in Washington DC and she came to sign copies of her book at Midnight Bazaar.

My condolences and prayers go out to her husband and family.

Another Breast Cancer Warrior

According to People magazine we have another breast cancer warrior, Marina Navratilova. She is a 9 time Wimbledon Champion who retired from her tennis career a few years ago. It was caught early so her prognosis is great.

I wish her all the best with minimal side effects from her up coming six weeks radiation therapy. To read the whole article on People’s click here

Attitudes in dealing with Breast Cancer

Is there a right or wrong way to deal with Breast Cancer? Everyone is different and deals with things differently. However I think a positive attitude is the best way to dealing with any problem.

Lindsay MacPhee took is one step further. This is what she told us just before we ran yesterday “mom, I’m kicking cancer in the butt with my stilettos.”

Now that is a fighting warrior cry if I ever heard one.

Way to go Lindsay!
