Review - SKYKEEPERS by Jessica Andersen

Well I finished the latest in the NIGHTKEEPERS series SKYKEEPERS by Jessica Andersen. If I wasn’t already hooked I would be after reading this one.

SKYKEEPERS finds the Nightkeepers deep in trouble and trying to save the rest of us on earth. The story surrounds Sasha and Michael. We’ve all known there was something dark and dangerous about Michael (which made him oh so appealing to us women). Well there is a good reason for that, he isn’t a salesman but a trained killer. He is ashamed of his darker side, which he calls the Other. Sasha discovers that the man she believed to have been her father was actually her uncle. She had been sent away in order to save her life. After years of doubt she embraces her true identity.  Together Michael and Sasha sizzle on each page, but Michael resists temptation because he doesn’t know if he can keep the Other at bay and not hurt Sasha.

We also get an update on the rest of the Nightkeepers. The couples are still deeply in love. The best part is that we get more of Rabbit (I hope he decides to change his name soon because he deserves something better). He’s in college, still making the wrong choices. He has a strong battle ahead of him but its one I think he can handle.

What I liked most about this book is that Ms Andersen kept Sasha and Michael apart and upped the sexual tension big time. Well she tried to keep them apart, but…. It made for a fabulous read. Like I said in the beginning if I wasn’t already hooked on the series I would be after reading SKYKEEPERS. So it definitely gets a recommended read by this reader.

Review - NIGHTKEEPERS by Jessica Andersen

There are only two words that can describe this book “Holly Crap”. It’s such a good a book. I could barely put it down. NIGHTKEEPERS is the introduction of a new series by Jessica Andersen. Some might recognize her name since she’s a well known author from Harlequin. However her new series is nothing like her medical suspense’s.

In NIGHTKEEPERS you are introduced to Strike the up and coming King and Leah his love and maybe Queen in the making. Then there are the other younger Nightkeepers. I have to come together, become a team and save the world.

Well in this book they don’t do all that. Then what would happen with the rest of the series? However they do learn to come together as a team and find their own inner balance.

Ms Andersen’s voice is darker and edgier in this book which blends really well with the story. I found this book captured my attention but kidnapped my imagination from the first page and held on until the last sentence. I want to know more about each couple and more about Rabbit. He’s mourning the loss of a father who never truly loved and wanted him. He’s also finding his own balance and purpose he is a hero in the making. It’ll be great to see him grow into it through out the series.

The only bad thing I can think of is that I’m ticked off that I don’t have the second boo in the series so I can dive into right away. I’m going to be stopping by a bookstore today to pick up a copy of DAWNKEEPERS. If you haven’t read NIGHTKEEPERS do yourself a favor, run to your local bookstore and pick up a copy right NOW. I swear you’ll be thanking me later.
