Review - HIS HOLIDAY HEART by Jillian Hart

Earlier this week I finished reading HIS HOLIDAY HEART by Jillian Hart. This book is about Lucy, a woman who loves life and Spence who takes everything seriously. Lucy is looking for a partner in life. While Spence is confirmed bachelor and doesn’t believe in Love is forever or that he’s meant to be married. That is until he meets Lucy. Together they will both deal with painful pasts and find love along the way.

This isn’t’ the first book I’ve read of Ms Hart’s. I’d already read one of her novellas last year and truly enjoyed her writing. I found myself engrossed in the story and forgetting my own life for a while. She created characters came across as real with real issues. Ms Hart is a very talented author of that there is no doubt. My only problem was the religious aspect. I knew by picking up a Love Inspired book that religion would pop into the book. Don’t get me wrong I go to church on Sunday but I’m not quite use to religion taking such a large part in a romance. Did I feel like I was being preached to while I read the book? Not really, but I just couldn’t get of it. Do I plan on picking up another of Ms Hart’s books? If the book blurb sounds interesting, you bet.

Review - WESTERN WEDDINGS by Jillian Hart, Kate Bridges and Charlene Sands

WESTERN WEDDING is an anthology by Jillian Hart, Kate Bridges (one of my favourites) and Charlene Sands. I had read books by Ms Sand and Ms Bridges but not Ms Hart.

I have to admit I did have a favourite among the three stories and that is Kate Bridges Shotgun Vows. I loved reading about Milly and Weston’s budding romance in a previous book. I couldn’t wait to read their story and Ms Bridges didn’t disappoint.

I did however find a new author to add to my to be purchased list (yep another one) and that’s Jill Hart.  I fell in love with her writing style and characters in Rocky Mountain Bride. Savannah and Nate were wonderful characters, I’m looking forward to reading Nate’s brother, Joseph’s story. I’m also hoping his older brother Gabriel will get a story of his own.

In my opinion this is a definite keeper.
