Quartet Press barely (it seem to me) opened their and now they have announced today that they were closing shop. It’s too bad. I love discovering new publishers whether they are big, small, print or electronic. Quartet Press sounded like they had a great plan of action for their future. I bet speculation and rumours are going to be rampant (they usually are) online with this news. I won’t be one of them.

I wish the owners of Quartet Press and Ms James all the best.

New Publisher, to me - PINK PETAL BOOKS

Today I spent the day helping a friend sell Christmas trees. During the summer she has a vegetable stand and during December she sells Christmas trees. Although it wasn’t freezing cold it got to be quite cold after 5 hours.

I just spent the last hour in a hot bath relaxing reading a new holiday book from Pink Petal Books. I hadn’t heard of this publisher until I saw one of their new releases promoted on The Romance Studios. Apparently they are an imprint from Jupiter Garden LLC. I have heard of them but hadn’t read a book of theirs yet. After reading the blurb for This Divine Night, I was hooked and had to buy the book.

I have to say I love discovering new publishers, or should I say new publishers to me. There are tons of new publishers that are qualified as “small press” but have such great talent that it’s such a shame that readers will limit themselves to only big press books. All I can say is, it’s their loss.

Now back to Pink Petal Books, if this book is any indication this publisher is creating fabulous books. They are spiritually themed books without preaching to the reader. Which I find fabulous!

So if you are interested in new books then go check out what Pink Petal Books has to offer.
